SUNDAY WORSHIP — This Sunday, July 7 is the seventh Sunday after Pentecost. Join us for service of Holy Communion at 9:30 a.m. Mask-wearing to prevent the spread of COVID and other airborne viruses is optional.

If you are unable to attend in person, we encourage you and your family to join us live via Facebook. A separate email will be sent out before service to provide you with the link to the Facebook live. Please use these and other resources to stay in the rhythm of weekly worship and invite others to worship with us by sharing the link.

OUTDOOR WORSHIP RETURNS — July 14th and August 25th

Please join us for services outdoors on July 14th and August 25th. We'll gather for worship on the south parking lot at 9:30 a.m., weather permitting of course! Don't forget to dress appropriately casual. We will need volunteers to help set up and clean up.

FAMILY MINI GOLF — Saturday July 20th at 4pm

Come out and enjoy an evening of Mini Golf with family and friends at Par-King in Lincolnshire. Holy Spirit has a reservation for 4pm on Saturday, July 20. We have also reserved a picnic area on the grounds for afterwards. Pizza, lemonade, and water will be provided at no additional charge. We hope you’ll stay a while and enjoy your Holy Spirit family. SUMMER CHOIR — Sunday, July 21st

Tune up those voices because we would love to have you join the Summer Choir. Have you ever wanted to give singing a try? This is your chance. No prior membership in choir is necessary. So…. all you wonderful singers hiding in the pews come on out and “Rejoice, give thanks, and sing” with the Summer Choir. We will learn our anthem before the service. C.O.O.L. GOLF OUTING — Friday July 19th

It is time for COOL’s Annual Golf Outing at Bonnie Brook Golf Course.

10:00 am Check-In
11:00 am Shotgun Start
4:30 pm Dinner

Golf for one includes; greens fees with a power cart, lunch on the turn, dinner, and entry into Prize Drawings. Cost: $175 per golfer. A dinner only option is also available. Please reach out to Joe Labellarte with any questions.

IMPORTANT TAX BENEFIT — Have you reached that golden IRS age of 70 ½? If so, then you can donate directly to Holy Spirit from your taxable IRA with a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). Just direct your IRA custodian to distribute via direct check to Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit. Currently the maximum annual QCD amount any individual can make in total is $105,000 (index adjusted annually).

This direct contribution satisfies any RMD (Required Minimum Distribution) you may be subject to.
This distribution is not included in your Adjusted Gross Income for the year and thus will not be taxable income.
This amount will not count against your IRMAA (income related monthly adjustment amount for Medicare).

You may already have a checkbook for your taxable IRA account for making such charitable contributions written directly to the charity.

FLOWER CHART — If you would like to donate flowers in honor or celebration of someone, the sign up chart is hanging in the gathering space. Please print legibly.

EXPOS — Expos will be pausing their monthly meetings for the upcoming spring and summer months. Any special gatherings will be announced as they are scheduled.

PRAYER GROUP — Our prayer group meets at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday mornings in the Sanctuary. If you'd like to pray with us, please come! We'd

love for you to join us.

THURSDAY BIBLE STUDY — Thursday Bible Study meets from

10:15 to 11:30 a.m. and everyone is encouraged to attend. Join us for some spirited discernment and conversation! We always close our time together in prayer.

QUILTERS — The Quilting Ministry meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 10:00 a.m.
